Most of my regular readers will know a few things about me:
I'm an intersectional feminist.
I love comic books and graphic novels.
I support trans rights and gender diversity.
This amazing project, Finding Dee, combines these things, and as a good friend of mine is colouring the images, I had to back it.
Finding Dee is a gorgeous comic. The artwork is charming. The colours are rich and fun and add a light-hearted feeling to images that lifts the reader’s mood. The stories pull no punches when dealing with the challenges Dee faces/faced pre- and during her transition, but the intelligent humour and heart-warming relationship between Dee and Heidi allow us to feel hopeful and experience joy as we follow in her footsteps.
Backers who pledge $5 or more can choose from a range of Dee-lightful rewards. But visit the page soon, as there are only 19 days left to get involved and ensure this beautiful full-colour version goes to print.
